Truth

I have a somewhat detrimental obsession with the truth. For me truth or lie is not a choice. The only choice is truth and lie shows up once in a blue moon either by accident(it can happen) or on other VERY special circumstances.

Some would say that anyone claiming to always tell the truth is automatically telling the biggest lie of all. Well I honestly don't have an answer for those people since it is impossible to prove to someone that you don't lie. So you either believe me or you don't and those that know me agree that even at the very least i tell a LOT less lies than others that they know.

So assuming that you believe me, you may ask "how does a person become one which does not tell lies?" And to that I answer, "make it into your thing". Har har okay sexual jokes aside, what i mean is that everyone has something they are known for. My sister's "thing" is to put 3 straws into her drink. So whenever we go out to eat she'll fill up the cup and then put exactly 3 straws in, no more no less. Another sister of mine seems to have a thing about being crazy when it rains or something. I have less information on that one but it fits just as well. The thing is that if something is "your thing" it is very easy to keep doing it. All you have to do is remember it when the time arises e.g. whenever you would need to use a straw, remember to put 2 extra, or whenever you see rain remember to be a little more goofy. So to always be truthful just make truth be your thing and whenever the time comes that you could lie just don't, it's that simple.

Now it seems a little strange that so many people have these special things about themselves and yet so many of them are so useless, silly, and seemingly only used to get attention or only used in a desperate foray into "i'm different from other people" land. This may be for obvious reasons that i'm just failing to notice but whatever.
