So today was not fun. i find it very annoying when people feel entitled. Some may call me an ass for feeling this way but people are entitled to two things only. They are entitled to live without being beaten or enslaved, and they are entitled to their personal belongings that they acquired from either earning them or being given them as gifts.

By the second part I mean that if someone gives you something that they themselves have earned, for whatever reason then you are entitled to that item as it has become yours. they are not however, entitled to something belonging to someone else. and under no circumstances should the act of not giving away something of yours be seen as a bad thing. Unless of course giving that thing away would save someones life.

What I'm getting at in my own round about way is that someone wanted something from me. I didn't want to give it to them so they asked me why. I gave them the obvious answer of "Because it's mine" do i even need a reason? They then proceeded to lecture me about how not giving it to them when i had no reason not to was bad and i was just being mean.

If you are leaning towards agreeing with my side on this wait a second. Because there is one piece of information that even though i don't think makes any difference, apparently makes a world of difference to other people.

The person asking for my stuff was a little girl, my little sister to be precise. Somehow if I tell my buddy that he can't have something then its fine. but if I tell my little sister no then suddenly I am some evil mastermind plotting my sibling's unhappiness. And call me crazy but her little display of accusing me of being evil, and also her being outright bratty, caused me to less and less feel like giving in to her whining.

But of course then someone else not even involved had to come over and take her side asking me dumb questions, like if my relationship with my sister was worth the price of the thing she was asking for. As if either of us are stupid enough to let such a nothing argument cause us to never speak to each other or something.

Yes I do agree the whole ordeal is stupid. But whatever, end of rant for today I guess.
